王芳，三级教授，现任华中科技大学bat365在线平台官网药理学系教授、博士生导师、基础医学院副院长、药理学系支部书记。是“国家优秀青年科学基金”、教育部“新世纪优秀人才支持计划”、“华中学者”、“中国药理学会servier青年药理学工作者奖”获得者。兼任湖北省药理学会理事长，中国药理学会理事、神经精神药物药理专业委员会委员、教学与科普委员会委员。

21世纪是脑科学时代，揭示脑的高级功能的奥秘是现代科学面临的最大挑战，脑的高级功能研究是本世纪科技发展最重要的增长点之一。近年来，各种精神疾病（如抑郁症、焦虑症和药物成瘾）的发病率逐年增加，特别是抑郁症被称为“精神感冒”，使很多人备受困扰和折磨。毒品背后潜伏的心魔使人丧失理智和正常的生活，这些精神疾病给人类健康带来了严重的危害。

如何揭开这些精神疾病的神秘面纱，寻找到新的有效治疗药物，让我们情感的翅膀平稳地翱翔在生活的天空，远离精神疾病，拥抱健康？——这是我们一直致力于解决的问题。因此，本团队将围绕以下领域进行研究：（1）抑郁症发病机制及药物干预。（2）药物成瘾的机制及其治疗。

目前主持的主要科研项目：

1. 2017.1-2020.12，国家自然科学基金面上项目，黏附分子肌营养不良蛋白聚糖介导的GABAA受体功能受损在抑郁症发病机制中的作用研究。62万元

2. 2015.1-2018.12，国家自然科学基金面上项目，杏仁核脑区EphrinB2/EphB2信号通路异常介导的负性情绪增强在抑郁症中的作用。70万元

3. 2014.1-2018.7， 973计划课题，潜在抑郁风险评估相关的生物、心理信息理论依据及验证标准的研究。150万元。
